I first heard about this frapp. in a post on Facebook which I honestly thought was another “junkmail” post until Starbucks sent out it’s usual up and coming email about it. Everywhere I read though it kept saying, “Only available if you believe” which again makes me think it’s fake.
I decided to ask around if anyone saw someone with this, one person said yes. I finally said I was walking to the Starbucks behind my school to see if this was real. It was and it was the weirdest drink I’ve ever gotten. There’s nothing written about it, saying what’s in it or what the flavour is so it was a leap of faith? The barista proceeded to tell me that it’s going to taste like mangos….it did not. The blue stuff on the side is the sour part of it which also has no flavour. The pink frapp part is literally ice with pink food colouring and there’s whip cream with blue and pink sprinkles on it.
I’ll admit it, at first my friend and I were excited when we got this weird concotion but the more we drank it the more weirded out we got. Literally everyone tried it, some were confused by it, some hated it, some said it didn’t taste like anything and maybe one person said it was good.
People have been questioning why they sold this and there’s articles going around about the Founder bashing Starbucks and this frapp. It’s good marketing, and it sold drinks. Starbucks is a business regardless if you see it as a coffee shop, it’s a damn business. There’s a head office that says we need this and we need that, and you know what we are the lovely people who bought it. It was a mystery we wanted to solve so we bought it. It was 100% good marketing.
In the end, I wouldn’t buy it again but it was worth the adventure.
I’m participating in Aveda Earth Month 2017 and aim to personally raise $250+ in support of WaterAid to provided access to clean, drinkable water to thousands in need. Did you know that 1 billion people live without access to clean drinking water? Without safe water or sanitation, people are trapped in a cycle of poverty and disease. Across that developing world, millions of women are wasting precious time collecting dirty water and children are suffering from preventable illness.
This Earth Month, the Aveda Canada network aims to give back by raising $595,000 in support of WaterAid and change lives of 23,800 People forever.
Please help me in my efforts to end the world water crisis. A $25 can provide one person with clean water for life. A $50 donation can provide a toolkit to maintain a village water point. What can save lives are often necessities we take for granted.
Your donation is tax-deductible and can be made through several methods, including cash, credit card and PayPal. Any amount, great or small, helps in the fight. You can make an online donation by going to http://give.watercan.com/goto/maeghancoulter
Access to clean water gives mothers time. Let’s give her more time for what matters: family, opportunity, health. Support #EarthMonthCA.
We are starting out 2017 with a bang! On January 1st my boyfriend and I went to the Centennial Classic at Exhibition Stadium (BMO Field) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada!
I’ve personally never been to Exhibition Stadium, usually soccer or football is played here, it was packed with Leafs and Red Wings fans as you can see above. The weather was about 3°c but dropped to 2°c as the sun went away.
Our seats we’re pretty good but we were sitting on bleachers so our butts we’re cold, well at least my boyfriend’s butt was cold. One of the best parts was the game was the national anthems, at the end they had a jet fly over which flew right over my boyfriend and I. It was so loud you could feel it in your chest.
The first period went by pretty quick and we missed most of the second period getting food and going for washroom breaks, which was okay because everything happened in the 3rd.
In the third the leafs took the lead until literally the last second of the game when the Red Wings scored. It went under review since everyone said the clock ran out. The goal was good and into overtime we went. It was intense, not a single soul was sitting down then Austin Matthews scores! I kid you not the bleachers were bending from people jumping up and down, everyone was yelling and high fives were all around. In that last 5 mins we all forgot we were freezing our butts off.
It was a perfect way to start the new year off. Once in a life time experience and I’m so thankful of my boyfriend for making it happen.
I hope you all have a great new year!

NARS Pure Matte Lipstick – Volga
I actually bought this online because I wanted a fall/winter lip colour rather than wearing bright red all the time. I was actually impressed with this the first time I wore it, it lasted a long time and the colour is great. It does appear darker then it does online and the only problem I had with it was that if you have dry lips it tends to show that they’re dry. It doesn’t really provide that moisture for your lips. You can get this at Sephora for $35.00.
Skin Care Favourite:
Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm
I’ve written about the Clinique liquid makeup remover of this product but I wanted to try something different. This cleansing balm is the weirdest, most awesome thing I’ve bought for removing makeup. It looks oily but it’s not, it’s a solid until you rub it on your eyes/face then you just rinse off. It get waterproof makeup off and you won’t have black under eyes in the morning! It actually works and lasts longer then regular makeup removers. I got this at Sephora for $38.00 but you can also get it at Sears and the Bay.
Hair Care Favourite:
Aveda Smooth Infusion Style Prep
Now that I got to Aveda Institute I know a lot more about the products that I loved before, I also have a lot of Aveda products now so they might be on here a lot more. Aveda Smooth Infusion Style Prep creates a smooth surface and helps fight against humidity. I know that doesn’t help in the winter but the smooth surface part is great. I flat iron my hair almost every day so putting some product in helps. You can only get this at Aveda stores/salons for $34.00.
Aveda Hand Relief Moisturizing Creme – Shampure
Once again I went with Aveda because I love the smell of this hand creme. It actually works since going their my hands are dry and I use this all the time. It doesn’t just have to be your hands I use it only my arms as well! They come in different scents which some I don’t personally like but the Shampure smell is good, it’s the scent you smell when you walk by Aveda stores/salons. You can only get this at Aveda stores/salons for $36.00.
Ikea EKTORP Corner Sofa
My boyfriend and I needed a couch so we went on a mission and found this at Ikea! It’s actually a pretty good couch, a good size and it’s comfortable. We got it for $1149.00.
Life Itself by Glass Animals
I needed winter boots that I could wear when it wasn’t a snow storm but that are also warm so my mum got me an early Christmas present. They’re cute, and warm but not waterproof because they’re Uggs. Now I don’t normally like Uggs because they’re ugly in my opinion but this don’t look like your regular Uggs. These are from Little Burgundy for $200.00.

I know I haven’t written in a really long time and I aplogize for that but it is because I’m currently enrolled at Aveda Institute Toronto! It’s an intense hairstylist program that I’m loving. When the Christmas break coming up I’m going to try to write and get you all updated!
I have one update for you which is I cut my hair! As you know I had pretty long hair and one day a student and I decided it needed to be cut so we did it that day! We took about 6-12 inches off!
There it is! Well I will hopefully be writing a lot in the upcoming break to get you updated!
